So, at the most recent New York auto show Maserati gave us the goods on their new SUV, the Levante, which there have been images, hints and suggestions floating around that the company is ready to pul the trigger on their first entry into the market, so it shouldn’t be all that much of a surprise. But having flipped through the most recent Drive.com write up on the Levante, I have to say, its a really unattractive car, or is that just me. It kind of looks like your typical Japanese whatever SUV – not particularly inspiring, nothing new to see, just kind of a sharp and angular, prickly four wheeled nothing. Honestly, I’ve never been a big fan of the Maserati in general, it’s kind of the poor mans Ferrari.
All of these super car companies are coming out with their versions of whatever niche auto market they see fit, trying to squeeze in their own compact, sedan, SUV and mehhh… they’re all kind of unfortunately unappealing. I think we’re getting to that point in luxury cars where we have to ask ourselves, do we really need another?
